Dr. Debra Dyer, MD, continues her conversation with Dr. Mike Gieske, MD. In part two of a five-part conversation, they discuss how to have a conversation with a patient about Lung Cancer Screening, including the administrative perspective, and how to change patient intake to make asking initial screening questions part of your practice.
As part of National Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2020, Dr. Debra Dyer, Chair of the ACR’s Lung Cancer Screening Steering Committee, had a series of conversations with stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum about myths in lung screening in the limited series “Mythbusting Lung Cancer Screening.”
Dr. Mike Gieske has been a primary care physician at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY since 1987. In addition to his daily practice, Dr. Gieske is the lead physician at his site in Ft. Mitchell, KY, and serves as East Division Physician Director of Primary Care.
